Made public at the end of August, the 2021 edition of the annual report of the Federation e-commerce and distance selling (Fevad) on the state of the market reveals that online purchases by professionals, up 11%, continued to grow last year, particularly in the industrial, office and IT sectors. After a lack of grounding start to 2020, while many customers of the merchant sites studied were at a standstill or in partial activity during the first lockdown, the increase in the second half of the year helped maintain double-digit growth. For the market as a whole, the trend is similar with an increase of "only" 8.5% in purchases over one year, to 112 billion euros. According to the federation, the habits acquired during the crisis should have repercussions on future purchasing policies, especially in terms of digitalization of processes and exchanges with suppliers.
